We have delivered more than 50 quality-assured Defence facilities, worth more than $1 billion, to meet the specific needs of the Department of Defence. Our whole-of-life approach provides all phases including financing, design, construction, commissioning and ongoing facilities management.
Our experience in designing and constructing state-of-the-art Defence infrastructure includes buildings, civil work, remediation, utilities services, telecommunications and facilities management. The majority of our building projects are complex, highly-serviced buildings, often completed within existing operational environments.
Since 1998 we have been continuously involved in the development of the Australian Army’s 3rd Brigade at Lavarack Barracks in Queensland, building on a longstanding client relationship. During the recent $133 million RAAF College Relocation Projects, we partnered with the Department of Defence to develop the functional design brief and detailed business case.
The principles of partnership are entrenched through all staff and subcontractors from day one and local industry participation is encouraged. On the recent $76 million HMAS Cairns Redevelopment Project, about 90 per cent of trade packages were delivered by local companies. This is just one example of how our projects contribute to local community economic development.
