Are you indigenous and you'd rather learn on the job? Then an apprenticeship with Thiess could be exactly what you're looking for. The Thiess Indigenous Pre-Apprenticeship Program (TIAP) is your pathway into Thiess and a long term career.
The program has been developed alongside the Hastings Deering Institute of Training. At the end of the course and based on your results, you will be eligible to gain entry into the Thiess Plant Apprenticeship Program or be offered a position elsewhere in the company or with our program partner, Hastings Deering.
At Thiess, we want our trainees to reach their full potential. We've developed a program that offers something different.
If you are from a remote community, you can apply for subsidised provided accommodation in Brisbane with live-in ‘aunt and uncle’ support for the duration of the program.
