Scholarships

Developing talent to meet the challenges and opportunities of the future is key to our business strategy. One way we address this is by contributing to a range of scholarships and educational programs.

These programs reward excellence, recognise potential and encourage those who may not have the capacity to realise career opportunities without practical financial support. Our various scholarships span all disciplines. With a current focus on Queensland and Victoria, we are extending our scholarships across Australia.

We provide these in partnership with leading industry bodies or universities, to draw on the strengths of career networks and quality educators. These scholarships often hold a particular significance to our team as they pay tribute to former inspirational company leaders. In this way we have the privilege of celebrating the valuable legacy of industry legends by encouraging current talent and potential future leaders.

Scholarships

Thiess/ MCA Women in Engineering Scholarship - one scholarship worth $16,000 per year with Thiess’ contribution $8000
Monash Engineering Leadership Scholarship - one scholarship worth $6000 per annum during the final three years of study
Thiess UQ Scholarship in Civil Engineering- one scholarship worth $5000 per annum for three years
Smart State Engineering Scholarships - We contribute towards eight scholarships ranging from $2500 to $5000 per annum for four years
Thiess Engineering Scholarships in Memory of Roger Trundle - three scholarships worth $10,000 each per annum available to UQ students
Ivan Wood Memorial Scholarship for Excellence in HRM- one scholarship to the value of $8000 per annum. Sponsored in conjunction with Chandler Macleod. Click here for the application package.
University of New South Wales Co-op Scholarship (Civil) - $16,000 per annum for five years
University of Newcastle Industry Scholarship Scheme - $12,000 per annum for three years
CareerTrackers NSW Indigenous Internship Program - $10,000 per annum for five years
